Court Members

  • Taher Hikmat
    A former senator, Hikmat served as minister in several governments between 1979 and 1994, and was president of the Court of Cassation and the Higher Judicial Council from 1998-2000. The veteran statesman, who holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Damascus, was also a member of the committee that drew up the 1991 National Charter and served on the Royal Committee on Constitutional Review.
  • Fahed Nsour
    A veteran judge, Nsour has served as head of the High Administrative Court and minister of state for legal affairs in 2004 before heading the Arab League’s administrative court in 2005.
  • Ahmad Tbeishat
    Tbeishat was minister of parliamentary affairs in 2010. He was also elected as president of the Jordan Bar Association in 2009. Tbeishat has a master’s and a bachelor’s in law from Cairo University and has been working as a lawyer since 1984.
  • Kamel Saeed
    Saeed, who was minister of state for prime ministry affairs and legislation under the current government, has worked as a law professor at the University of Jordan (UJ) and then as a dean of UJ’s faculty of law. He also worked as a judge on the Cassation Court. Saeed holds a PhD in law from Cairo University and a higher diploma in criminal science and law from the same university.
  • Fuad Sweidan
    Sweidan has served as a judge in the courts of first instance and cassation. He has a bachelor’s in law from the University of Damascus. He was head of the High Administrative Court between 2005 and 2012.
  • Yousef Hmoud
    Hmoud has served as judge on the Magistrates Court, the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeals. He was a member of the Higher Judicial Council between 2000 and 2009. Hmoud holds a master’s in law from the University of Jordan and a bachelor’s in law from the University of Damascus.
  • Abdulqader Tawarah
    Tawarah began working in the judiciary in 1981 and has since served as judge on several courts. He was vice president of the Court of Cassation and was serving as a judge prior to his appointment in the Constitutional Court. Tawarah has a PhD in law from Cairo University and a law degree from the University of Damascus.
  • Mohammad Ghazwi
    Ghazwi has worked as a dean of the faculty of law at the University of Jordan (1993-1999) and the Applied Science University (1999-2000). He has worked as a lawyer since 1987. Ghazwi holds a PhD in law from Alexandria University.
  • Mansour ALHadidi
    1. Bachelor of Law from the Faculty of Law - University of Mohammed V - Rabat - Morocco in 1971. 2. Diploma in International Management Institute - Paris - France in 1976. 3. National School Diploma to eliminate - Paris - France in 1991. 4. judge since 1976 - reconciliation - the beginning - resume - felonies. 5. Deputy General Amman - President of the Court beginning Oman. 6. Head of the Judicial Inspection device - Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice - Vice-President of the Court of Cassation - Director General of the Jordanian Judicial Institute. 7. Certificate of senior leadership Administration - National Defense College of the Trustees and general managers. 8. holds the Legion of Honor with the rank of Knight granted by the President of the French Republic. 9. Certificates of Merit from the posts in a global, regional and national conferences. 10. Chairman of Jordan - Arab Network for judicial training and formerly based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Judicial Institute.
  • Numan ElKhatib
    He holds a doctoral degree in constitutional law from the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University in 1983, he was appointed assistant at Mutah University professor in 1984 and then was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 1990 and then to the rank of professor in 1996, the work of the Dean for Student Affairs at the University of Mutah since 1986 until in 1996, then Vice President of Mutah University for Administrative Affairs in 1997 until 2003, he was a member, during which the board of Higher Education and accreditation Council, in 2003 he was appointed dean of the Faculty of Law and Vice-President of Isra University, he worked as legal advisor and member of the board of Trustees of the University of the Middle East, then member of the body University of company managers and legal adviser to the University of Isra and then part-time lecturer at the University of Jordan and the judicial Institute of Jordan and the Royal Academy of police and the Royal College of the war, in 2008, was appointed president of the University of Isra until 2014, was a member of the Egyptian Bar Association and a member of the Jordanian Bar Association and a member of then Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Centre for Human Rights has the scientific and legal research to the court and the papers shall work in constitutional law and administrative law and the elimination of administrative and human rights for more than fifty papers and paper work and six books, most recently "mediator in the political systems and constitutional law" and "simple in the constitutional system Jordan, "which was published in 2014.
  • Marwan Dudin
    A member of the Royal Committee on Constitutional Review, Dudin has served as a senator and a minister several times and was also a member of the Higher Council for the Interpretation of the Constitution. He holds a bachelor’s in English language and literature from Cairo University.
  • Kalaf AlRagad
    1. a bachelor's degree in law from the Beirut Arab University in 1977. 2. Higher Diploma in Public Law from Cairo University in 1979. 3. Master of Laws from the University of Jordan in 1991. 4. doctorate in law from Ain Shams University in 2002. Included in the judicial offices of the attorney general at the Criminal Court to judge in the Court of First Instance and a member and chairman of the Central Criminal Court. Member and Chairman of the Court of Appeal and the President of the courts in the Judicial Inspection Administration and then served as a lawyer in a civil and then judge at the Court of Cassation and the Vice-President of the Court of Cassation and seconded Chairman of the Committee at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone to resolve problems relating to the territory of the city of Aqaba, his writing is my first Master League Jordan in the Criminal Code and the second in the Ain Shams University lecturer in civil law for a period of one academic year in the Jordanian judicial Institute as well as a member and chairman of the committee to discuss many of the Masters and PhDs in Sudanese universities.
